Part-Time In-House Lawyer

Location: North-West (hybrid)

Hours: Part-time (3-4 days per week)

Salary: 65-95k, dependent on experience

The Role

You'll provide practical, commercial advice to colleagues dealing with disputes involving both individuals and small businesses. The role is advisory rather than contentious, but a strong understanding of the litigation process will be key to supporting sound decision-making.

As the organisation's first in-house lawyer, you'll have the opportunity to shape how legal support is delivered, embed best practice, and act as a trusted adviser to teams across the business. You'll also manage external legal relationships where needed.

About You
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with strong experience in dispute resolution, regulatory law or litigation.
  • Background in a regulated sector, ideally energy, would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent communicator, able to give clear, pragmatic advice to non-lawyers.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to balance legal risk against practical outcomes.
  • Proactive and adaptable, motivated to contribute in a part-time capacity.
