Job summary

Oculus Legal Group is partnering with a leading organisation to appoint a Senior Employment Legal Advisor to join their Employment Law team. The role suits a technically strong lawyer with practical, client-focused approach to employment matters.

You will advise on employment law and employee relations, manage tribunal cases, draft contracts and policies, and present seminars. Flexible working includes one day in the office, with potential for a four or five day week and attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Substantial PQE in employment law.
• Experience advising clients on employment law, employee relations, and HR matters.
• Proven track record in handling tribunal cases with minimal supervision.
• Advocacy experience in Employment Tribunals is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and timely employment law and employee relations advice via in-person meetings, phone calls and written correspondence.
• Manage employment litigation in the Employment Tribunal from start to finish, including advocacy (with training available).
• Draft and scrutinize contracts of employment, policies, procedures, and other employment-related documents.
• Present engaging seminars on employment law and employee relations topics.
• Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge through continuous research and training.
• Ensure compliance with office procedures for work coordination and monitoring.
• Assist the Head of HR & Legal as required.
• Collaborate with other business units to support member recruitment and retention.
• Identify opportunities for additional fee‑paying work and assist in their procurement.
• Undertake other relevant tasks to achieve the overall objectives.
