This role requires solid experience in real estate law and a keen interest in sustainability and the energy transition. The successful candidate will be involved in advising on a variety of property-related matters, particularly within the renewables space, helping to deliver commercially focused legal support on projects that contribute to a greener, low-carbon future.

About the Company

The company continues to supply innovative energy solutions to hard-to-reach areas, but its purpose has shifted. Today, it is dedicated to supporting businesses in their transition to cleaner, low-carbon energy sources. Sustainability now drives every aspect of the organisation’s work, with an ambitious goal to help eliminate 1 million tonnes of CO2 by 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft, negotiate, and manage documentation for property acquisitions, leases, sales, and financing.
  2. Advise on title investigations, land registration, and property due diligence.
  3. Handle landlord and tenant matters, including lease agreements and renewals.
  4. Provide legal support for the development, acquisition, and operation of renewable energy projects such as wind, solar, and hydroelectric facilities.
  5. Draft and negotiate contracts, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), connection agreements, and joint ventures.
  6. Advise on regulatory compliance, land use, and environmental matters related to renewable energy projects.

You will ideally need:

  1. 3-6 years of experience in Real Estate
  2. Experience in renewables
  3. Private practice and/or in-house experience
