Job summary

Arm is expanding its Patents team at Cambridge to focus on hands-on drafting and prosecution, building an in-house capability for strategic portfolio protection. You will work with inventors and engineering teams to draft patent applications and prosecute filings before UKIPO, EPO, and other offices.

This role offers a rare opportunity to stay engaged with the drafting craft while developing in-house processes and AI-enabled workflows, without client billing pressures.

Qualifications

• Qualified patent attorney with CPA/EPA background preferred.
• Background in electronics, physics, or computer science.
• University degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Physics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft patent applications in microelectronics, semiconductor tech, computer architecture, software and AI.
• Prosecute filings before UKIPO, EPO, and other offices.
• Help build in-house drafting and prosecution capability and workflows.
• Collaborate with inventors and engineering teams across Arm to capture inventions.
• Shape the in-house model to integrate with business strategy and portfolio goals.
