About our client

We are working with a PE-backed business who are looking to add an M&A Associate to their team. This company is driving change in the industrials space across Europe, the Americas, and APAC regions. As an M&A AVP/Associate in the team, you will contribute to the evaluation and execution of M&A opportunities and strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, investments, divestitures, and strategic projects & partnerships.

There is flexibility in where this role is based - you will be expected to spend some time in offices in London or Paris.

What the job involves

  • Identify, evaluate, and keep up to date with potential acquisition targets through defined acquisition criteria, market research, and industry monitoring
  • Present relevant targets to the management team for consideration
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and advisors
  • Perform detailed financial and sensitivity analysisto assess value of acquisition targets and possible changes in valuation
  • Lead quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business case development for acquisitions
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations to executive team
  • Lead on commercial negotiations with counterparties
  • Support the business in the creation of integration plans post-acquisition

Who we are looking for

  • Experience in top-tier investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or corporate development roles
  • Strong proficiency in building financial models from scratch,with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • High degree of initiative and resourcefulness with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information and strategic recommendations
