In House General Counsel/Head of Legal

Corporate - M&A – Litigation – 7+pqe – London – Remote

Our client is a private equity group and venture-building parent company headquartered in

the UK. This evolving and dynamic acquisitive business is very much in growth mode and works with some truly innovative businesses. This is a very exciting and key moment that you are being invited to join as their first GC and Head of Legal, a key player in their Senior Leadership Team and pivotal in the strategy and growth of the business.

You will have at least 7 years corporate commercial law experience. In this high-impact, strategic role you will demonstrate your broad legal knowledge, commercial judgment, and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders at Group level.

As the primary legal contact for the Group, you will manage key legal transactions, regulatory matters, disputes, and governance activities and work closely with the SLT across various business units. You will have oversight across the entire Group and be responsible for advising on legal strategy, compliance, and risk across a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Matters that you will be involved in include

• advising on M&A transactions, restructures, commercial negotiations, and regulatory compliance.
• preparing court documentation and managing legal disputes and court proceedings.
• working autonomously while engaging collaboratively with leadership, finance, product, operations, and external counsel.

You will have an entrepreneurial mindset with the adaptability to operate in a dynamic and fast-scaling environment.
