In-House Employment Lawyer - Maternity Cover - 12 months

Our client, a large financial institution is currently looking for an Employment Lawyer with a strong understanding of HR practice standards.

The role is to cover a period of Maternity Leave and will be for 12 months, starting Mid-June 2025. Our client is keen for someone to work on a hybrid basis with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Role responsibilities:

  • Providing legal advice and support to business and HR partners across the full employment lifecycle, including:
  • Recruitment and onboarding
  • Performance and leave management
  • Disciplinary processes and terminations (including redundancy)
  • Drafting, reviewing, and finalising documentation relating to the above matters
  • Managing and overseeing external counsel in relation to employment-related litigation
  • Ensuring alignment with applicable UK employment laws and customary practices

Whilst not essential, in-house or law firm experience supporting employment legal matters for financial services institutions is advantageous.
