In-House Derivatives and Trading Counsel - 5-8 PQE, London

Excellent in-house counsel role for a derivatives lawyer with 5-8 years of PQE, based in London.

You will join a team responsible for managing and overseeing the legal aspects of trading activities for a well-known, dynamic alternative asset manager. This role involves supporting business initiatives across multiple trading entities and asset classes, requiring close collaboration with internal teams, external counsel, and senior management. It is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable derivatives and trading lawyer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, negotiate, and manage trading agreements, including ISDA Master Agreements, Global Master Repurchase Agreements, Securities Lending Agreements, prime brokerage agreements, clearing agreements, MiFID II terms of business, and digital assets trading agreements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5-8 years PQE qualified in England and Wales.
• Solid experience in derivatives and trading law gained at a city law firm.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including MiFID II and EMIR.
