A prestigious international law firm is seeking a qualified lawyer to support its Partnership Affairs function, working closely with senior leadership on matters related to governance, partner arrangements, and legal structures.

This opportunity is on a 12-month FTC basis.

The role is an Inhouse role which involves advising on business structures, partner onboarding and exits, profit-sharing adjustments, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the position serves as a liaison between the legal department, general counsel, senior management, and other internal teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination across governance-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on the firm's partner arrangements and constitutional governance documents.
  • Assist with structural amendments, risk management, and compliance-related matters.
  • Support legal affairs management, including briefing senior leaders on operational and legal risks.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the legal department, partnership accounting, and company secretarial teams.
  • Act as a key contact for partner queries on business structure, contracts, and regulations.
  • Oversee professional indemnity insurance renewal processes and liaise with brokers and insurers.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects such as constitutional amendments, new office openings, or external partnerships.
  • Conduct research, policy development, and legal analysis to support firm-wide initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with experience in corporate governance, commercial contracts, or regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to provide clear, strategic legal guidance, manage multiple projects, and solve complex legal issues.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and organisational skills, ensuring accuracy with a practical, business-minded approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and quick-thinking under pressure, with a team-oriented, proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge (or willingness to develop expertise) in employment/partnership law, business tax, or regulatory issues.
  • Strong IT proficiency, particularly with Word, Outlook, and Excel.
