Job summary

Clifton Search is seeking an experienced In House Counsel in Somerset (Remote or Hybrid) to lead on major commercial contracts, manage legal and regulatory risk, and advise senior leaders across procurement, operations, and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes drafting complex agreements, governance, and data protection compliance within a fast-growing business. Flexible remote/hybrid working arrangements are offered alongside a competitive package.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified solicitor with private practice and/or in-house experience in commercial law.
• Expert in contract drafting and negotiation across complex contracts.
• Good knowledge of data protection law and information governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial contracts and legal risk across suppliers and tender processes.
• Draft and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial contracts (goods, services, tech, NDAs).
• Provide strategic legal guidance on project delivery and regulatory matters.
• Support governance, data protection, and brand protection efforts across the group.
