What You'll Do

As an In-House Conveyancer, you will be integral to the success of secured lending operations by providing essential legal support from within the business. Your day-to-day activities will involve:

  • Managing all key legal components of secured lending transactions; including title reviews, registrations, redemptions, and discharges.
  • Handling timely and accurate registration of property and legal charges with HM Land Registry to ensure security is always protected throughout the process.
  • Processing removal of mortgages and legal charges post-redemption efficiently while administering mortgage redemptions and liaising with other lenders to confirm settlement.
  • Collaborating closely with the Underwriting Manager and wider business teams to develop your ability to take ownership of conveyancing matters and broader legal.
What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in property law gained through direct involvement with mortgage lenders or similar financial institutions. Your background includes:

  • Qualified Licensed Conveyancer or Solicitor with proven hands-on experience in conveyancing processes relevant to mortgage lenders.
  • Strong practical understanding of Land Registry procedures and requirements for property transactions.
  • Experience processing mortgage redemptions and handling post-completion documentation flows efficiently.
  • You will bring a solutions-focused approach that prioritises commercial outcomes without compromising compliance or quality standards.
