Job summary

G2 Legal Limited in Newton Abbot, Devon, seeks an experienced In-House Contracts Manager to oversee high-value, multi-market agreements and manage contractual risk across international projects.

You will review and draft contracts, advise on liabilities, coordinate with external law firms, and support project teams while maintaining meticulous contract records; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years' experience in commercial contracts.
• In-house or private practice law firm background.
• Exercise independent judgement and know when to seek specialist advice.
• Strong skills in contract review, drafting and negotiation to identify liabilities and risks.
• Ability to translate complex contracts clearly to non-legal colleagues.
• Engineering or manufacturing sector experience is desirable but not essential.
• Occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate and amend commercial contracts.
• Identify liabilities and explain contractual risks to stakeholders.
• Maintain an accurate record of contracts.
• Instruct external advisers (UK & international law firms) and translate advice for non-legal colleagues.
• Support project managers with post-contract issues and disputes.
• Attend occasional international meetings as required.
