Cundall is seeking a talented solicitor to join its in-house legal team to review and manage contractual arrangements on global projects. You will provide advice, negotiate contracts, and support risk management across locations.

Working with the global business, you will advise on assignments, warranties, novations, and related matters, while assisting with claims, debt recovery, and ad hoc legal issues as required.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with circa 2-4 years PQE and relevant practical experience in construction law.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and explain legal and commercial issues clearly and concisely to stakeholders within our business.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively and work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Excellent technical drafting skills and commercial negotiation skills.
• Experience in construction law and advising and negotiating on professional engineering consultancy appointments is necessary (both client bespoke and standard forms).
• Experience in advising on areas like GDPR, IPR, commercial contracts, commercial litigation, professional indemnity insurance and building contracts is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Review and manage contractual arrangements of global projects.
• Produce advice and undertake contractual negotiations in relation to the same.
• Give advice and support in line with the implementation of Cundall’s legal risk management policies.
• Report to Cundall’s Regional Management Boards where appropriate.
• Take responsibility for other contractual advice including assignments of appointments, collateral warranties, third party rights, novation agreements, letters of reliance.
• Assist with claims administration, debt recovery work and ad hoc miscellaneous legal advice.
