We're looking for an experiencedin-house accountantto help us manage and optimize our finances as we grow.

Role Overview

You will take ownership of the day-to-day and strategic financial operations across our entities in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, and the US. From managing bookkeeping to preparing financial reports and ensuring tax compliance, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our leadership team with accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers across all entities
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and expenses
  • Oversee client invoicing and collections
  • Produce monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts
  • Track budget vs actuals and support financial planning
  • Prepare financial insights for leadership and investor updates

Compliance & Tax

  • Manage payroll, pensions, and employee reimbursements (UK/IRL/US where applicable)
  • Prepare VAT returns (UK/IRL) and coordinate income tax filings
  • Liaise with external tax advisors, banks, and auditors

Systems & Controls

  • Maintain and improve accounting systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Implement internal financial controls and documentation standards
  • Support financial due diligence for new markets or investments

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting
  • Strong knowledge of UK & Irish accounting standards
  • Proficiency in cloud accounting tools (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and financial judgment
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and remotely
  • Experience with US or multi-entity accounting
  • Familiarity with consulting or services business models
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean startup-style environment
