Job summary

OptiMatch Solutions is seeking a part-time Support Worker / Personal Assistant to support one adult in their own home in Bellingham SE6. You will work six short shifts weekly, mostly 11am–2pm, helping with personal care, meals, routines and daily tasks while respecting dignity and independence.

The role requires hands-on adult care experience, patience and reliable timekeeping, and the ability to follow an agreed care plan.

Qualifications

• Hands-on adult care experience is required.
• Patient approach and dependable timekeeping are essential.
• Confident following a care plan and knowing when to seek help.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful personal care in line with the individual's care plan.
• Help with meals, daily routines and light household tasks.
• Encourage the person to do what they can, offering support without taking over.
• Offer companionship, listen carefully and communicate clearly.
• Follow guidance, work within training, keep records and report concerns promptly.
