Job summary

Sapphire Care Limited provides in-home support to individuals and families to maintain independence in the community. Care workers visit clients, assist with daily tasks and healthcare needs, and coordinate with management to ensure safety and quality of life.

Applicants should be prepared to travel to clients' homes, assist with meals and budgeting, and document daily notes while attending training and supervision sessions. Driving licence and vehicle ownership are often required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Visit service users at home to provide care and support.
• Travel to service users as directed.
• Carry out personal and caring tasks not requiring a nurse.
• Encourage and motivate clients to maintain independence.
• Report changes in the client's condition to the manager.
• Build rapport and support service users under stress.
• Assist with equipment and artificial limbs when authorised.
• Contact a doctor or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare and cook meals in the client's home.
• Assist with budgeting, shopping and bill payments when required.
• Help with light cleaning, laundry and ironing.
• Accompany service users to hospital visits.
• Record daily notes and update support plans as needed.
• Attend training and supervision sessions.
• Report accidents, incidents and safeguarding concerns.
