IMS Auditor - Heidelberg Materials UK Location: Reading, Swindon, or Bristol Hybrid £43,000 £47,000

Are you passionate about driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with international standards? Heidelberg Materials UK is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive IMS Auditor to support the implementation and development of our Integrated Management System (IMS).

Purpose of the Role

As an IMS Auditor, you will plan and conduct internal audits across Heidelberg Materials UK to verify compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards. You'll work closely with operational teams to ensure our systems are effective, compliant, and continuously improving.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and execute internal audits across UK operations in line with IMS and ISO standards.
  • Coordinate with operational management to schedule audits and agree on requirements.
  • Conduct audits, record findings, and agree corrective actions with site teams.
  • Track and verify the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Analyse audit data for trends and emerging issues, recommending preventive actions.
  • Create and share audit reports with the IMS Manager.
  • Support additional internal audits as required.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of the IMS.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in auditing against ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Education/Qualification
  • Certified auditor (desired but must be obtained within 1 year of taking role)
  • NEBOSH/ISEP Certificate or equivalent (desired but must be obtained within 1 year of taking role)
  • NEBOSH/ISEP Diploma or equivalent (desired)
  • IOSH/ISEP membership (desired)
