A leading healthcare organization in Worthing is seeking an Improvement Support Officer to manage team administration for clinical audits and improvement strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical audit methodologies and data management. This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills to support the team's goals effectively.
The main duties of the Improvement Support Officer are to ensure effective administration to the Improvement & Effectiveness Team; including but not limited to:

They should familiarise themselves with safeguarding policies and procedures and undertake relevant training
Communication & Relationship SkillsWork closely with staff in the Trust involved in clinical audit and improvement programmesSupport the clinical audit and improvement programme delivery, and promoting the activity and strategy of the departmentMaintain and develop back office Clinical Audit and Improvement team functions and team administration
Analytical & Judgemental SkillsJudgements involving a range of facts or situations which require analysis.Assist in the analysis of quantitative dataAssist in approval and registration of clinical audit and quality improvement projects.
Planning & Organisational SkillsPlanning and organisation of straightforward tasks, activities or programmes, some of which may be ongoing.Organise meetings associated with clinical audit projects study.Arrange Team meetings and away days and the administration around theseArrange briefings for teams as appropriate, and undertake presentations if requiredOrganise groups associated with clinical audit projects.Organise data collection opportunities associated with the clinical audit projects.Orders supplies for team.
Knowledge, Training & ExperienceUnderstanding of a range of work procedures and practices, the majority of which are non-routine, which require some level of theoretical knowledge.Knowledge of administrative procedures, including computer software, especially databases, data analysis software and clinical information systems.Knowledge of clinical audit and improvement.
