Our Water Quality and Environment team have an opportunity for you to join as our new Regulatory Improvement Manager.
In your new role, you’ll be responsible for delivering the improvement programme for our Environmental Regulation and Policy team. The role will work on complex investigations, assess organisational performance against regulatory requirements and provide strategic advice.
You’ll be delivering change through scrutiny and investigation. Turning insight into actionable recommendations. And helping the environment by understanding where risk lies. Your outputs will fuel the team’s thought leadership, interpretations of changing legislation and help influence business decisions to support ongoing compliance and environmental performance.
Additionally, you’ll be expected to build on our existing activities, developing and embedding a change programme to deliver our ambitions and handle the complete programme delivery lifecycle.
You’ll be based at our Headquarters in Coventry. You’ll work within our Environmental Regulations and Policy Team. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week.
You’ll join a caring culture that collaborates to achieve, grow, and develop. Our employee engagement scores are among the highest globally in energy and utilities. That’s why we value in-person moments to keep our culture alive and why for this role you’ll usually find us in the office during our working hours.
We’re seeking our new Regulatory Improvement Manager to be comfortable identifying and managing the key strategic risks and issues facing the programme.
To be successful, it’s expected that you’ll have a strong regulatory background, with the ability to communicate with people of levels, including regulators. You’ll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from complex data and regulatory information then clearly communicate them in writing. You’ll also have experience in delivering and embedding change while delivering tactical improvement programmes. You may not have experience in the water industry and for highly capable people with a curious mindset this would be an excellent introductory opportunity.
