Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant with import experience to join our finance team in Manchester. You will process invoices, reconcile accounts and ensure timely payments to both UK and overseas suppliers.

Qualifications

• Good numerical, organisational and communication skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Processing and verifying supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and authorisation.
• Matching invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes and shipping documentation.
• Managing accounts payable transactions for UK and overseas suppliers.
• Handling import-related invoices, including freight, shipping, customs duties and import VAT.
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
• Processing supplier payments in line with terms.
• Liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal departments to resolve queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and filing documentation.
• Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting.
