Job Description

  • Coordinate import documentation and processes to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, providing prompt and clear responses.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.
  • Track shipments and keep customers informed of their status.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues that may arise during the import process.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and customer interactions.
  • Support the team in improving customer service procedures and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Import & Customer Service Clerk should have:

  • Knowledge of import processes and documentation.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Customer service experience, ideally within the transport & distribution industry.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail.
  • Competency in using relevant software and systems for record-keeping and coordination.
