  • Knowledge in import / supply chain is essential.
  • Good organization skills and ability to work within given deadline is a must.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Control Tower, Customers, and internal contacts.

  • Always meet compliance to regulations.
  • Create shipping documents as required.

Your role as an Import Coordinator will be to ensure the accurate and punctual movement of incoming freight and information to deliver KC goods to customers on time. You will be expected to share updates in a clear and timely manner thereby providing excellent customer service. This role is designed to support the Senior Import Coordinator and work closely with the Control Tower to manage the successful customs clearance and onwards delivery to warehouses.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Imports on allocated lanes by tracking and tracing shipments
  • Act as the first point of contact for the Control Tower and be responsible for import issue resolution
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers on allocated lanes providing accurate and concise information
  • Understand the processes and standard working for import, constantly looking to improve efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Control Tower, Customers, and internal relevant KC contacts
  • Ownership of the process to set up new vendors within the Control Tower
  • Responsibility for direct to customer imports on allocated lanes
  • Update, maintain and own GST table
  • Always meet compliance to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer’s policies / requirements where appropriate
  • Manage and track inbound loading booking for adhoc shipment
  • Create shipping documents as required
  • Drive accurate reporting and insights that further improve opportunities
  • Support the Senior Import Coordinator in assigned tasks and cover during calls or holiday
