Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join a global Freight Forwarder who are well known and established within the UK as well as recognised internationally.

My client is looking for an Import Clerk to join their busy and growing team.

Duties will include:

  1. Job costing and preparing quotes
  2. Liaising with overseas partners/ offices
  3. Creating job file on in house system
  4. Liaise with customer for clearance instructions
  5. Complete customs clearance
  6. Update the customer throughout the process
  7. Organise and arrange airline/ shipping line collection and delivery
  8. Cost and invoice and arrange payment where necessary
  9. Converse with Airlines/ Shipping lines/ Agents and Hauliers to ensure smooth start to finish process
  10. Provide a first class customer service

Details:

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 0900-1730hrs

Salary: 30k-38k dependent on experience
