Job summary

University of Leicester is seeking a Research Associate to join the Centre for Healthcare Innovation, Policy and Management on a full‑time fixed‑term contract until 31 January 2031. The role focuses on implementation studies, national evaluations and systematic reviews using mixed methods, with opportunities to publish and disseminate findings globally.

You will work closely with leading researchers, contribute to research funding applications, mentor colleagues and support student development

Qualifications

• PhD (or close to completion) in health services research, sociology, health psychology or a related discipline.
• Substantial experience in applied health and care research.
• Expertise in research project management and methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).
• Experience in data analysis and publication in high-quality journals.
• Understanding of NHS policy and current health and care research priorities.
• Experience recruiting research participants/sites and obtaining ethical approvals; delivering complex projects to milestones.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of implementation studies, national evaluations and systematic reviews.
• Manage collaborative research projects and publish high-quality outputs.
• Disseminate findings nationally and internationally; mentor and develop colleagues and researchers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within NIHR ARC EM and associated networks.
