Your challenge at Payter
As an Implementation Project Manager at Payter, you will be responsible for a range of critical and customer focussed activities within the wider Payter ‘Product’ function. Imagine yourself as the expert helping customers smoothly implement our products, from Pre-Sale to Production. You'll offer project initiation support and guidance, defining the required steps for your customer’s specific needs to efficiently complete their implementation project. This may include ensuring that various steps are completed on-time and in the right order by various other teams within Payter and similar interaction with a number of partner and supplier entities from time-to-time. You will provide regular updates internally and externally, attend scheduled and unscheduled meetings, and successfully juggle multiple customer projects at any one time.
Whilst other members of the Product Delivery & Implementation team will be there to provide relevant assistance, you will also provide expert advice and developer support. You will also conduct product training and provide any other necessary assistance to our clients during the deployment and go-live of Payter solutions in the field. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive project success and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
This role is perfect for existing experienced Implementation or Integration Consultants or Managers who want to specialize in large or complex solution support.
Your Responsibilities:
Through a mixture of training, documentation review and experimentation, become an expert in the operational use of Payter’s range of products and services. In particular understand the various integration options including cloud API’s, local TCP/IP Socket connectivity options, product mounting and installation, and other connectivity options;
Define and lead an implementation project plan recognising a customer’s potentially unique requirements to manage their expectations and together reach a satisfactory project conclusion that is on-time, on-budget, and in full compliance with any regulatory or Payter defined requirements;
Offer a variety of Payter clients your expertise in activities such as an introductory walk-through/consultation process and best-practice guidance with new customers. In collaboration with your colleagues, provide support to those customers whilst they are developing and testing their implementation and ensure the successful test and certification of their efforts prior to approving a production deployment;
Throughout these customer engagements, note any opportunities for product, service, and process improvement to feedback into the wider team ensuring a consistent focus on the provision of an exceptional customer experience.
What do you bring to the table?
We think that as a Implementation Consultant / PMwithin Payter, you will be successful if you bring the following knowledge and experience with you. A proven track record of learning new skills and applying them in a professional environment;
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position, ideally within the payments industry;
A working knowledge of HTTP JSON/XML Restful API software integration, TCP/IP Sockets and any other similar technologies that allow software and services to communicate with each other;
Experience across a number of fields including but not limited to Project Management, Testing, Customer Service & Support, Documentation and Training;
Genuine desire to truly understand the customer perspective and ambition to deliver the best customer experience without fail;
Superior problem solving and organizational skills; detail oriented with an ability to conceptualize, prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects;
Experience with associated tools such as Postman & Swagger, and any software development experience of any kind is extremely beneficial;
Any working knowledge of OCPP/OCPI Protocols, MDB, Executive or any other Vending, Parking, Ticketing or Transit experience would be beneficial;
You are social and you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Any other language capability is certainly beneficial;
You are sensitive to customer needs and you can make the translation between customer requirements and actual possibilities;
Formal project management methodologies are certainly useful, but not essential.
