About the role

This role is based in London

Third Financial and Dunstan Thomas, both part of Nucleus Enterprise, provide market-leading investment platform technology, software solutions and outsourced operations to wealth managers, private banks and advisory firms. Together, we deliver a comprehensive ecosystem spanning front‑to‑back‑office capabilities, combining deep operational expertise with robust, scalable technology. This role operates across the Nucleus Enterprise group, working with blended teams of implementation consultants and testers across Third Financial and Dunstan Thomas, supporting multiple platforms, technologies and operational services to deliver seamless, high‑quality client outcomes.

As a Technical Implementation Consultant, you will take a hands‑on role in onboarding clients onto our wealth management platforms. Working across the Imago and Tercero platforms and their associated integrations, you will proactively progress technical implementation activities, configure solutions and take responsibility for the client’s technical data migration from initial extract through to validation, reconciliation and go live.

You will use your knowledge of wealth management operations, investment products and platform data to extract, cleanse, transform, map and load client data accurately. You will also configure the platform, support integrations and testing, investigate data and system issues, and maintain clear technical documentation throughout delivery.

This role requires prior wealth management experience and a practical understanding of wealth management platforms. Candidates without relevant financial services and investment management experience will not have the domain knowledge needed to succeed in the role.

Responsibilities

Core Technical Responsibilities

• Technical Implementation Ownership Proactively plan and progress assigned implementation tasks, working independently to move clients through platform onboarding while identifying dependencies, risks and technical decisions requiring escalation.
• Wealth Platform Expertise Apply practical knowledge of wealth management platforms, investment products, client and account structures, holdings, transactions and operational processes to deliver appropriate technical configurations and migration outcomes.
• Data Migration Planning Assess source data, define extraction and transformation approaches, produce mapping specifications and agree migration controls, validation rules and reconciliation criteria.
• Technical Data Analysis Interrogate source data using database extracts, advanced Excel and, preferably, SQL to identify quality issues, anomalies, gaps and transformation requirements before migration.
• Technical Client Engagement Work directly with client technical and operational teams to understand source systems, secure complete data extracts, resolve migration queries and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Technical Standards and Improvement Improve repeatable migration approaches, data‑quality controls, implementation tooling and technical documentation to increase delivery accuracy, efficiency and consistency.

Implementation Delivery Responsibilities

• Platform Configuration and Onboarding Configure products, portfolios, fee structures, workflows, reporting structures, users and permissions, and complete the technical setup activities required to onboard each client successfully.
• Data Extraction, Cleansing and Transformation Own the client’s technical data migration, including obtaining and assessing extracts, cleansing and manipulating data, defining transformation rules, mapping source data to the target platform and preparing migration files.
• Migration Execution and Reconciliation Execute trial and production migrations, validate loaded data and reconcile client, account, asset, cash, holding and transaction records to evidence completeness and accuracy.
• Technical Testing and Defect Resolution Define and execute technical test scenarios covering platform configuration, migrated data and integrations; investigate defects and work with Technology teams through to resolution.
• Database and Data Troubleshooting Extract and analyse data from databases and platform outputs to diagnose migration, configuration and integration issues, determine root cause and implement sustainable corrections.
• Technical Documentation and Controls Maintain data mapping documents, transformation rules, configuration records, migration runbooks, reconciliation evidence and technical decision logs to support governance and auditability.
• Technical Handover and Knowledge Transfer Provide clear handover of platform configuration, migrated data, known issues and support considerations to client and internal operational teams.
• Cutover and Go‑Live Support Own technical migration readiness, complete final validation and cutover activities, and provide early‑life support to ensure a controlled and stable transition onto the platform.

About you

• Essential: practical understanding of wealth management platforms, including client and account structures, investment products, portfolios, holdings, cash and transaction data.
• Experience delivering technical implementations or client onboarding onto financial services or investment platforms.
• Hands‑on experience of end‑to‑end data migration, including data extraction, profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Strong data‑manipulation skills and advanced Excel capability, including working confidently with large and complex data sets.
• Ability to extract and analyse data from databases and investigate data‑quality or migration issues.
• Strong understanding of system configuration, data structures, file‑based processing and platform integrations.

• Preferred: working knowledge of SQL for querying, validating and reconciling data.
• Preferred: familiarity with APIs, SFTP, file‑based interfaces and common integration patterns.
