Job summary

Outwood Academy Haydock is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work 30 hours per week, term-time plus five days. The role supports teachers with planned activities, assists students with SEND/EAL needs, and helps develop individual learning plans.

You’ll contribute to safeguarding and student progress in a busy school environment. We welcome applicants with experience in schools or with children and young people, strong communication skills, and a commitment to staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school environment or with children and young people.
• Strong communication and the ability to work flexibly.
• Willingness to undertake training and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching by implementing planned learning activities.
• Assist with SEND/EAL and help develop individual plans.
• Provide welfare support and monitor student progress.
• Supervise during educational visits and invigilate examinations.
