Job summary

Outwood Grange Academies Trust at Outwood Junior Academy Brumby in Scunthorpe is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teachers, deliver learning activities and assist with individual student plans. The role covers classroom support, intervention management for SEND and EAL students, and contributing to welfare and progress tracking.

You will work during term time (27.25 hours per week, Mon-Fri) with a fixed salary and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

Experience in a school environment or with children and young people.
Ability to use ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
Willingness to undertake necessary training to assist students.
Experience with SEND and/or EAL is desirable.

Responsibilities

Implement planned learning activities and support the teacher in monitoring student progress.
Provide constructive feedback to students and assist in intervention settings.
Support SEND and EAL students and help develop individual plans.
Escort and supervise students on educational visits and invigilate exams.
Respect confidentiality and maintain data protection standards.
