Job summary

New Way Recruitment LTD is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a specialist Learning Disabilities and Complex Care service. You will help adults with learning disabilities and related needs live independently in a safe, person-centred environment, with a focus on independence, dignity and choice.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or complex care needs is desirable.
• Experience supporting individuals with autism, behaviours that challenge, or mental health needs is advantageous.
• A caring, patient, and compassionate approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends where required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex care needs
• Encouraging independence, choice, and community participation
• Providing personal care where required
• Supporting individuals with positive behaviour support plans
• Assisting with medication and daily living activities
• Building positive, trusting relationships with the people you support
• Maintaining accurate records and following individual care plans4
