Job summary

Komplex Community in Plymouth is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in their own homes. You will help with daily tasks, encourage independence, and provide a calm, reassuring presence.

You’ll join a compassionate team offering full-time hours, 12-hour shifts, and opportunities for training and career development while supporting people to lead more independent, dignified lives.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence is required.
At least 1 year of experience in care or support is desirable.
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts including waking nights.

Responsibilities

Support individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning, and budgeting.
Encourage independence and community access through meaningful activities.
Provide a calm, reliable presence during difficult times and offer emotional reassurance.
Promote routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected and included.
Monitor and record progress, celebrating small wins daily.
Work regular 12-hour shifts including waking nights to provide consistent care.
