Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) is seeking a Stores Operative for HMP The Mount in Hemel Hempstead. The role is full-time and permanent, and will involve working within a prison environment to ensure secure stores operations.

The successful candidate will hold a Fork Lift Truck Certificate, Level 2 English & Maths, a full driving licence (D1 preferred), HGV licence, and First Aid at Work. A strong focus on safety, organisation and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Fork Lift Truck Certificate is required.
• Level 2 English and Maths are required.
• A full driving licence is required, D1 preferred.
• HGV licence is desirable.
• Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification is preferred.
• Good health and safety knowledge is essential.
• Strong organisational, time-management and people skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage stores within HMP The Mount site.
• Coordinate with Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners and Administrators.
• Maintain stock accuracy and safety compliance in a high-security environment.
• Support the Facilities Maintenance Team to ensure safe and secure operations.
