Job summary

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Children’s Assessment Social Worker to join its Children’s Services team in the UK. You will undertake statutory assessments, respond to referrals and identify risks to determine appropriate support and intervention.

You will collaborate with children, parents, carers and partner agencies to ensure high-quality assessments, helping children receive the right support for positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
• Relevant experience in statutory children’s social care and assessment work.

Responsibilities

• Undertake statutory child and family assessments.
• Respond to referrals; assess levels of need and risk.
• Visit children and families; ensure their wishes and feelings are heard.
• Identify safeguarding concerns; take appropriate action.
• Collaborate with schools, health professionals, police and partners.
• Develop plans and recommendations from assessment findings.
• Prepare clear reports; maintain case records.
• Manage a caseload; meet statutory timescales.
• Promote child-centred, strengths-based, relationship-based practice.
• Prioritise children’s safety, welfare and best interests.
