Job summary

Chatterbug is seeking a caring, organised Communication and Language Specialist (CALS) to support children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. You will work with Speech and Language Therapists to screen, plan and deliver targeted interventions across settings including schools, nurseries, homes and online appointments.

You will maintain records, monitor progress, and help implement agreed communication strategies with families, carers and education staff, while

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
• Ability to work with Speech and Language Therapists and educators.
• Strong observation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out screening and assess speech, language and communication needs using Brightspeech tools.
• Deliver individual and group interventions as agreed with supervisingSLT.
• Maintain accurate records and share progress observations with the SLT.
• Support parents, carers and education practitioners to implement communication strategies.
• Participate in supervision, training and service development activities.
