Polaris Children’s Services is seeking a SENDIASS Support Worker focused on Hampshire-based families. You will provide confidential, impartial information, advice and support for parents, carers, children and young people with SEND, ensuring empowerment and informed participation in education decisions.

The role involves one-to-one support, guidance on EHCPs, tribunals and engagement with schools and authorities. DBS enhanced check required; pro rata salary progresses after probation.

Qualificações

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to own car.
• Willingness to pursue IPSEA SEN Law Training Level 1–3 within the first year of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide one-to-one SEND support to children, young people and families.
• Explain SEND legislation and policy to customers.
• Maintain accurate case records and diary notes in the database.
• Attend meetings or mediation with customers and signpost to support services.
• Develop relationships with local authority SEND teams to achieve positive outcomes.
• Contribute to development of SENDIASS content and resources.
