Teach Plus are currently working with a large specialist school in Waltham Forest who are looking to appoint SEN Teachers for full-time positions starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential for the role.
• Experience with SEND is desirable.
• Experience with autism, complex needs or behavioural needs would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Differentiate the curriculum according to pupils' abilities and EHCP outcomes.
• Establish positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Promote communication, independence and personal development.
• Manage behaviour positively and consistently.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other classroom staff.
• Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals where appropriate.
• Contribute to EHCP reviews and individual learning plans.
• Maintain high safeguarding and professional standards.
