Autism Anglia is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for the Peldon Campus in Colchester, Essex, to help autistic adults and individuals with learning disabilities achieve life goals in a safe, supportive environment.

You will work as part of a team providing person-centred, outcome-focused support, assisting with daily living, activities, and transport to appointments. A full UK manual driving licence is essential, and safeguarding duties apply.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or similar in autism/learning disabilities.
• Full UK manual driving licence is essential.
• Ability to support personal care, health, and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to provide person-centred, outcome-focused support.
• Maintain dignity, privacy and wellbeing; assist with personal care, health and hygiene.
• Support individuals in activities such as sport, leisure, cultural events, day trips and holidays.
• Drive clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with communication, sensory support, or monitoring and interventions.
• Keep support plans, risk assessments and documentation accurate and up-to-date.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and raise concerns promptly.
