Job summary

Sureserve is seeking a Renewable Energy Systems Designer in Livingston to deliver low-carbon solutions for residential and commercial clients. You will analyse EPCs, assess building energy performance and design future-proof renewable systems, including Solar PV and heat pumps.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or Renewable Energy.
• Understanding of energy efficiency, carbon reduction and sustainability principles.
• Experience producing technical designs, reports and recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse measured energy data and EPCs.
• Assess and manage energy performance of buildings.
• Develop carbon reduction, energy efficiency and cost-saving recommendations.
• Design future-proof renewable energy systems.
• Optimise Solar PV and Air Source Heat Pump installations.
• Collaborate with surveyors, retrofit teams, project managers and engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and compliance submissions.
• Support installation teams with troubleshooting and design revisions.
• Manage your own projects and ensure delivery to timescales and standards.
• Identify innovative solutions that improve energy performance and sustainability outcomes.
