Job summary

East Durham College in Peterlee seeks a dedicated Progress and Learning Tutor to support students in the Engage 14-16 provision. You will work with an assigned tutor group, delivering tutorials, PSHE and employability sessions while tracking attendance and behaviour.

The role involves assisting students with academic, social and emotional needs, helping their progression to post-16 education, across three campuses as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification.
• GCSE level standard education or equivalent (Maths & English).
• Qualified teacher status or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an ambitious curriculum to assigned tutor group in Engage 14-16.
• Deliver Engage Tutorial Programme, PSHE and Employability curriculum.
• Track attendance, monitor behaviour and support students with academic, social and emotional challenges.
