Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for a primary school in Southwark, London, to support a child on a 1:1 basis after half-term. You will use positive behaviour strategies to de-escalate situations, helping the pupil regulate emotions and engage with learning.

Experience with SEMH/ADHD and challenging behaviour is essential; restraint or positive handling training is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEMH, ADHD or challenging behaviour.
• Restraint training or Team Teach/positive handling training desirable.
• Experience in a primary school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to the child throughout the school day.
• Utilise positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Support emotional regulation and social skills development.
