Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton, near Bristol, is offering a Business Operations Performance Improvement internship for undergraduates. The role focuses on data analysis, dashboards, and driving improvements across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Environmental impact.

You'll work within the Performance Improvement team to develop essential skills in data analysis, project support, and digital tooling, with hybrid working options and clear security requirements.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates only. The candidate must be an undergraduate for the duration of the placement.

Responsibilities

• Performance Dashboard Creation: Developing and maintaining dashboards using data analytics to track key operational metrics.
• Business Reporting Support: Assisting the team with regular business reporting requirements and data analysis.
• Improvement Project Management: Leading or supporting ad-hoc improvement projects within the plant environment.
• Daily Operational Support: Working directly with the Business Improvement Manager to support daily activities and departmental efficiency.
• Efficiency & Analytics: Analysing data to create business cases regarding AHPS (Attendance Hours Per Ship) reduction, focusing on the trade-off between investments and potential savings.
• Digital toolset Deployment: Assisting with the development and rollout of digital tools on the shop floor to improve data reporting, capture Health & Safety risks, and align with Airbus Operating System (AOS) standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engaging with teams across Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to drive industrial improvements.
