Job summary

The successful candidate will mentor a pupil or small group, support lessons, monitor progress, and contribute to planning and safeguarding. DBS check is required prior to start.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or better, with strong IT skills.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role.
• Experience with SEMH pupils is advantageous.
• Willing to undergo DBS check before starting.
• Committed to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support a pupil or small group (up to six).
• Support the classroom teacher during lessons.
• Report on pupils' progress and concerns to staff.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time and on trips.
• Assist with lesson planning and classroom preparation.
• Set work and mark assignments.
• Build positive relationships to drive learning outcomes.
