Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking MST practitioners to join a 24/7 on-call team delivering intensive, home-based interventions for children and families across Cheshire East. The role emphasises evidence-based practice and close collaboration with schools and partner agencies.

The post holder will complete assessments, develop tailored plans, strengthen parenting skills and maintain high-quality records while travelling across the borough and engaging in ongoing supervision and training.

Qualifications

• Degree, professional qualification.
• Experience with children, young people and families.
• Knowledge of child development, trauma and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive, home-based interventions.
• Complete assessments and develop tailored plans.
• Strengthen parenting, family relations and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with schools, partner agencies and wider networks.
• Manage caseloads and maintain case records.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision and training.
• Contribute to a 24/7 on-call rota.
