Job summary

Vetro Recruitment seeks a Learning Support Assistant for Wirral, Merseyside. This full-time, temporary role supports young learners, working across early years settings to deliver engaging activities and a nurturing environment.

You will assist teachers, help implement the EYFS and primary framework, and prioritize safeguarding while building strong relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Strong English and Maths skills to support foundational learning.
• Creativity and adaptability to meet diverse children's needs.
• Resilience and positivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Experience working with early years children is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS and safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Support children's development through planned and spontaneous activities aligned with the EYFS and primary curriculum.
• Build positive relationships with children and their families to promote a supportive environment.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and behaviour strategies.
• Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times in accordance with safeguarding policies.
• Encourage children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and structured sessions.
