Job summary

Co-op Academy Priesthorpe in Pudsey, near Leeds, is seeking a Cover Supervisor (Learning Manager) to support learning when a teacher is absent across Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will supervise lessons, prepare resources, support behaviour management, and contribute to strategies for raising achievement. A strong team culture and safeguarding duties, plus coaching group responsibilities, are part of the role.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 (A-C) or equivalent essential.
• Experience or aptitude in supporting learning and behaviour management would be an advantage.
• Commitment to safeguarding and equality of opportunity in education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students across Key Stages 3 and 4 when a teacher is absent.
• Cover lessons prepared by the teacher and support learning strategies to raise achievement.
• Research, prepare and coordinate resources to support teaching and learning; manage classroom behaviour.
• Assist with break and lunch time supervision; contribute to small coaching groups (1.5 hours weekly).
