Job summary

Walsall Council is recruiting three experienced Social Workers to join the Community Learning Disabilities Team in Walsall. The role focuses on strengths-based, person-centred service delivery for adults with learning disabilities to maximise independence and positive outcomes.

Candidates must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England, with at least three years post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification and active registration with Social Work England.
• Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Undertake strengths-based assessments under the Care Act 2014.
• Complete Mental Capacity Act capacity assessments.
• Develop, implement and review person-centred care and support plans.
• Collaborate with health colleagues, care providers, families and partners.
• Lead safeguarding enquiries and contribute to risk management.
• Support adults with learning disabilities to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Maintain high-quality recording and evidence-based practice.
