Job summary

Methods Business and Digital Technology Limited is seeking skilled iOS Developers to design, build and maintain high-quality iOS applications for public-sector and private clients across the UK. You will join a multidisciplinary team to translate requirements into robust mobile solutions and contribute to automated testing and CI/CD practices.

The role emphasizes clean coding, secure and accessible apps, and collaboration with designers, product managers and QA.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing applications for iOS.
• Strong proficiency in Swift.
• Good understanding of the iOS SDK and Apple development ecosystem.
• Experience developing applications using modern iOS development patterns and practices.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating mobile applications with backend services.
• Experience with automated testing, including unit and UI testing.
• Experience using Git and modern software development workflows.
• Understanding of software engineering principles including clean code, modularity, maintainability and version control.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving application defects and performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift.
• Translate user and business requirements into reliable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code following modern iOS development practices.
• Work collaboratively with designers, product managers, QA professionals and other developers within an agile multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and architectural decision-making.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to CI/CD processes.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, defects and performance problems.
• Consider security, accessibility, privacy, resilience and performance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Help establish and maintain development standards, patterns and best practices.
• Keep up to date with developments in the Apple and wider mobile technology ecosystem.
• Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative engineering culture and support colleagues through mentoring.
