Job summary

Veritas Education is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Chorley, Lancashire. You will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and providing targeted interventions to raise attainment.

You will work closely with staff to create a positive learning environment, develop behaviour support, and help pupils reach their potential. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• Ability to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, proactive and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students within the classroom across a range of subjects.
• Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and lesson delivery.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Building positive relationships with students and staff.
