Job summary

The Charlie Waller Trust seeks a Finance and Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day finance, operations, technology and governance. You will work with the Head of Finance and Operations to ensure systems, records and controls are robust and compliant, enabling the charity to deliver its mental health mission.

You will lead financial processes, reporting, budgeting and year-end activities while line-managing the Finance Assistant and IT/Operations Officer, with a focus on efficiency, security

Qualifications

• Finance administration experience including budgeting, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams and Excel.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and data quality/digital tools.
• Experience supporting governance, compliance, data protection and statutory reporting.
• Experience line-managing staff or volunteers and delivering development.
• Knowledge of Charity Commission expectations and Companies House filings.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finance, operations, technology and governance processes.
• Provide practical management support with accurate records and controls.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and reporting to leadership.
• Lead year-end and audit preparation and maintain financial controls.
• Line-manage Finance Assistant and IT/Operations Officer and develop their performance.
• Ensure cyber security, data quality, data protection and system continuity.
