Job summary

Durham University Day Nursery is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join our EYFS team. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality early years provision for children aged 0–5 in a supportive, inclusive setting.

You will work on a shift pattern, support families, and contribute to safeguarding and child development in line with EYFS standards. DBS check is required, and the post is full‑time/permanent with open hours.

Qualifications

• EYFS experience in a nursery setting.
• Plan and lead engaging activities for 0–5 years.
• Maintains records of children’s progress and learning.
• Attend monthly meetings and training evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a stimulating range of indoor and outdoor activities for children aged 0-5 years.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and learning in line with the EYFS.
• Attend monthly meetings and training sessions on evenings and occasional weekends.
