Lift Kingswood is seeking a Cover Supervisor to help keep learning on track when teachers are away. You will support students across subjects, maintain calm classrooms, and ensure activity stays on task.

This role is ideal for those considering teaching, education, or youth work, with strong classroom management and communication skills. The position involves delivering pre-planned lessons, managing behaviour, and providing feedback to teachers.

Qualifications

• You don't need to be a qualified teacher.
• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade 4 or above.
• A levels or a degree encouraged, or experience with young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across the school in the absence of the teacher.
• Ensure students remain on task and follow the school's behaviour expectations.
• Manage the classroom environment to support positive behaviour and effective learning.
• Provide feedback to the relevant teacher about lesson progress, behaviour, or issues arising.
• Supervise students during non-class time when required (e.g., registration, breaks, exams).
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain the safety and wellbeing of all students.
• Assist with administrative tasks or learning support activities when cover is not required.
